The Verkhovna Rada has registered a bill providing for the granting of permission to those responsible for military service in Ukraine to travel abroad in exchange for monthly contributions towards the needs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU). The bill was initiated by Rada deputy Georgiy Mazurashu from the Servant of the People faction. He proposes requiring the creation of a bank account with a minimum of five subsistence amounts.
“Citizens of Ukraine who left the country during martial law who do not comply with the conditions specified in part four of this article and who do not have documents confirming the right to postpone military service during mobilization must be voluntarily transferred to a special place. “For each month of stay outside Ukraine during the war, the law provides for the collection of funds for the purpose of supporting the Armed Forces of Ukraine, equal to 10 times the minimum subsistence amount of able-bodied citizens (officially established in Ukraine on the day of entry into Ukraine),” the document notes in the explanatory note.
