The Civil Guard arrested a man who barricaded himself in his home in the town of Fuensalida (Toledo) yesterday afternoon after roaming the streets threatening people with a firearm claim.
As the Civil Guard reported this Tuesday, yesterday, around seven in the afternoon on Monday, they received a notification informing them that: There was a man on the street who was threatening passers-by in a very aggressive manner.
Toledo Command Citizen Security Unit went to the scene to find out the facts and The person was found barricaded in his home.
They went there accompanied by a negotiator, and the judicial authority allowed the agents into the house, who encountered many difficulties gaining access through guardrails installed inside.
The man was in a very aggressive state and came to use all kinds of bladed weapons against the civil guards; one of them had to use his service weapon and shoot a non-vital part of the body. The person was later arrested and taken to Toledo Hospital by ambulance. According to the Civil Guard, the action ended around 07:00 this morning.
The suspect, who was arrested on charges of threatening with a firearm, resisting, disobedience, assaulting law enforcement officers and attempted murder, was also seized with a knife, crossbow with arrows and compressed air.
