About 70% of Russians are sure that the advantages of autumn-winter construction are no less than in the warm season. Some carry out construction in a full-fledged format (40% of owners of suburban plots), others (29%) finish the work that they did not have time to do in the summer. In the autumn period, the main task is to insulate the house – this was reported by 37% of respondents. In addition, 29% prioritized updating interior decoration, 16% replaced electrical equipment, 14% prioritized the installation of plumbing, communications and pipes, and 12% noted that wiring was important. But 23% of Russians were not afraid of cool weather at all – they considered autumn a pretty good time to paint the facade and do other “external” work. However, the majority of participants admitted that they would still prefer to work indoors in cold weather.
When building a private house, 39% of owners pay great attention to fire safety, 20% to finding a reliable professional team, 14% to communications and plumbing. In addition, for 41% of Russians it is important to choose quality building materials, and for 30% their cost is of great importance.
While 24% of the participants stated that discounts on construction materials started in September-October, 16% stated that work teams became more accessible and foremen were more compliant with payment issues during this period. And the land itself for construction from scratch can be purchased at an affordable price: this is a significant advantage for 16% of viewers.
