Francisco Moreno, a graduate of UCM in Information Sciences (Ronda, Málaga, 1964), developed his professional career mainly in senior management positions in the audiovisual media.
He joined RTVE in 1987 and remained in this position until 1989. In 1990 he was appointed head of TVE’s Daily News Services in the Canary Islands, during which time he worked as a special envoy in conflict-ridden areas such as Mauritania, Senegal and Ivory Coast. and Liberia.. In 1999, he left the public institution and took over the management of Antena 3 in the Canary Islands. In 2001 he was commissioned by the Government of the Canary Islands to revitalize the Public Broadcasting Television of this autonomous community, which became the fastest growing television channel in 2002 and 2003. At that time, the Public Institution joined the FORTA organization, of which he was president twice.
In 2005 he joined Prensa Ibérica Publishing Group as General Manager of the Audiovisual area. At this stage, he also produced television programs such as ‘Los ads de tu vida’. Between 2013 and 2018, he worked as an independent consultant in the corporate relations of the Ministries of Education and Industry of the Government of the Canary Islands, and in 2014 he began to manage all multimedia corporate and institutional communications of the multinational hotel company Lopesan until his appointment. He was appointed sole director of RTVC in 2019.
He is a recipient of the Talent Award from the Spanish Academy of Television and Audiovisual Sciences and Arts (2009) and has been a member of the board of directors of this institution since 2011, of which he is currently vice president.
