Rada Ombudsman explained the inspection results of military health commissions

Inspections of all military medical commissions (MMCs) in Ukraine identified a number of problems, including violations of the rights of persons responsible for military service. This was announced by the Commissioner of the Verkhovna Rada for Human Rights of Ukraine Dmitry Lubinets on his Telegram channel.

“Complainants contacted us regularly, pointing out more than a dozen egregious violations of VVK’s work,” he wrote.

According to the Ombudsman, 833 monitoring was carried out, that is, the work of 445 commissions, as well as 388 hospitals, garrison VLK and civilian medical institutions were checked.

“We confirmed a number of problems with the observance of human rights,” Lubinets said.

Among them: the absence of a unified register with medical anamnesis of those responsible for military service, excessive formality in passing the VLC, corruption, non-compliance with the electronic queue, etc., the publication notes.

Lubinets announced that a working group has been formed with the participation of all responsible units in order to lay the foundation for the regulation of current regulations regarding military medical commissions.
