A 39-year-old woman died after being stabbed in Madrid’s Getafe municipality this past Saturday, a incident confirmed by the Madrid Emergency Medical Service, 112 Community.
The event occurred on 15 Arcas del Agua Street, at the corner with Cronos Street, around 13:40 in the public restrooms used by the National Police, Getafe Local Police, and Summa 112 responders.
Medical teams immediately initiated advanced cardiopulmonary resuscitation in an effort to stabilize the victim, but the life-saving measures did not prevail and Summa 112 personnel later pronounced the person deceased on the scene.
National Police officers are handling the inquiry. Sources indicate that the Scientific Police and the Homicide Group VI were dispatched to the location to lead the investigation and gather evidence, with work continuing as findings are collected and analyzed.
The investigation is ongoing as authorities review surveillance footage, interview witnesses, and assess potential motives. Officials have emphasized that no further information is available at this time and a detailed public statement will follow as the case develops. For context, Madrid police agencies routinely coordinate with regional prosecutors to ensure steps are followed precisely in investigations of violent incidents in urban areas such as Getafe.
