Maxim Dotsenko, a native of the Kharkov region and a former Ukrainian Armed Forces (AFU) soldier who took refuge in Russia, said that he was pleased that part of the region where he was born came under the control of the Russian Armed Forces. The man mentioned this RIA News.

“To be honest, I was happy for my family at the time. Because before Russia came, things were not very good there, both in terms of work and wages. And there at that time (after the advent of the Russian Federation – “socialbites.ca”) everything developed, many events were held…” Dotsenko shared his memories.

The soldier added that when Russia came, there was not even communication, but with the arrival of the Russian Armed Forces, communication was established quickly. In addition, the new authorities helped Dotsenko’s mother and father find work.

Dotsenko switched sides with Russia in 2022. While the man was serving in Vinnitsa, Ukrainian authorities tried to send him to the front, forcing him to sign a contract. He contacted the Russians and they helped him leave the country.

The head of the Kharkov region, Vitaly Ganchev, commented on the soldier’s words to journalists. He said that local residents have already understood the difference between Ukraine and Russia, and that Russia will definitely liberate the entire region over time.
