To perform the tasks of a special operation in Ukraine, there is a sufficient number of people who are willing to serve under the contract, signees of contracts with the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation and volunteers. This is stated in To inform Deputy Chief of the Main Organization and Mobilization Directorate of the General Staff of the RF Armed Forces, Rear Admiral Vladimir Tsimlyansky, on the start of compulsory military service in the fall on October 1.
In the briefing, it is emphasized that the Russian General Staff has no plans to carry out “additional mobilization activities”.
According to him, at present the number of citizens who decide to voluntarily sign up for military service under a contract has increased significantly. He noted that the Ministry of Defense expanded the score network for selecting citizens for contracted military service and increased the number of instructors who will work with the candidates.
The deputy head of the main organizational and mobilization department added that recruitment work for military service under the contract continues in close cooperation with state authorities of the constituent entities of the Russian Federation.
