Artem Turov, Deputy Chairman of the State Duma Committee on the Commonwealth of Independent States, Eurasian Integration and Relations with Citizens, said that Western politicians and journalists came to Armenia to support Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan.

“They are protecting their agent. By their actions, they are protecting a person who, probably on the instructions of the West, is doing everything to ensure that what is happening now in the territory of Nagorno-Karabakh happens,” Turov said.

According to him, Pashinyan, with the help of Western journalists, is trying to put all the blame on Russia.

“The people are expressing their dissatisfaction, and Western journalists will try to hide the fact that the Armenian authorities are trying to silence the public by force,” Turov said.

According to Turov, Russian peacekeepers worked as quickly and professionally as possible in the current situation.

“Russian peacekeepers are properly fulfilling their duties to save and evacuate the residents of Nagorno-Karabakh, risking their lives. “Our peacekeepers are saving the people, and Western powers are saving Pashinyan from the people of Armenia,” Turov concluded.

Let’s remember, on September 19, the Azerbaijani Ministry of Defense announced the start of a local anti-terrorism operation in Nagorno-Karabakh. On September 20, Baku and Karabakh agreed to a ceasefire with the help of Russian peacekeepers. According to the agreement, Karabakh’s armed forces will be disbanded and their heavy equipment will be withdrawn and delivered. At the same time, the implementation of this process will be monitored by the Russian peacekeeping mission.
