“Since yesterday, hospitals in Azerbaijan’s Agdam, Sabirabad and Saatli regions have stepped up to accept a significant number of patients from Khankendi, and these hospitals have been strengthened with additional medical personnel,” Hajiyev said.
He added that Azerbaijan is ready to provide a corridor to the International Red Cross for medical evacuation. On September 25, near the Stepanakert-Askeran highway in Nagorno-Karabakh, an explosion occurred in a fuel tank distributed to local residents for transportation to Armenia.
Previously, the Nagorno-Karabakh Ministry of Health announced the number of deaths in the explosion at the gas storage facility.
According to the ministry, 290 people with burns of various severities were taken to health institutions after the explosion.
