Finnish scientists from Aalto University conducted a study in which they identified 27 types of love. It turns out that most types of love are born in the brain, but some can be felt in different parts of the body. Scientists with their discoveries shared In Taylor & Francis magazine.
Researchers conducted an online survey with hundreds of Finnish volunteers and asked them how they felt in their bodies when they experienced any of 27 types of love: parental love, God love, romantic love, sexual love, friend love, love. to strangers, to nature, to yourself, etc. Participants were then asked to color an interactive human body silhouette according to their emotions. It turned out that the mother’s love for her child is felt in the heart, romantic and passionate love is felt in the whole body, and the love of God and parents is felt only in the brain.
Participants also shared that they felt each of the 27 types of love in their minds. But the strongest types, romantic and sexual love, spread throughout the body.
