The support service for veterans of the special military operation of the Popular Front and the Federal Center for Scientific and Clinical Reanimatology and Rehabilitation (FSC RR) of the Ministry of Education and Science of Russia developed a joint program “Return”, the press service of Russia reported. The public reported the movement.
The slogan of the program, as stated in the Popular Front, is “You are everything for the Motherland, and we are everything for you!” The goal is the reintegration and maximum harmonious adaptation of veterans to civilian life.
The Popular Front and the Federal Scientific Center of the Republic of Russia will ensure long-term treatment, rehabilitation and socialization of veterans, as well as develop a unique technology for psychological assistance, a telemedicine communication channel for online professional consultation, and training programs for doctors. .
The program consists of several stages. At the first stage, specialists of the Federal Scientific and Clinical Center of the Republic of Russia, together with representatives of the Popular Front, will go to the front line for the urgent evacuation of patients in serious condition, then doctors will do everything possible. The social movement stated that it aims to prevent victims from experiencing irreversible consequences.
At the Federal RR Scientific and Clinical Center, patients will be treated and rehabilitated using modern technologies and equipment.
Neurologists, surgeons, neurosurgeons and a traumatologist will work with veterans of the Northern Military District. Subspecialty specialists will also take part in the treatment process: ophthalmologist, ear, nose and throat specialist, maxillofacial surgeon, cardiologist, endocrinologist.
According to Andrei Grechko, director of the Federal Scientific Center of the Republic of Russia and corresponding member of the Russian Academy of Sciences, the center’s specialists have been treating and rehabilitating veterans of the Northern Military District for more than a year.
“Cooperation with the Popular Front allowed us to evacuate victims directly to the centre. Previously, all the wounded were taken first to Rostov-on-Don and then to Moscow, so many did not have time to receive timely medical care,” said Grechko.
Head of the Veterans Support Service of the Popular Front Northern Military District, Channel One’s military correspondent Irina Kuksenkova, noted that thanks to the joint program, medical evacuation routes for patients with severe brain damage have already been developed. Thanks to which the rehabilitation center accepted the first patient from the Lugansk People’s Republic.
