An initiative named Tiger-Law and Order is set to be established in Primorye to support veterans who served in special operations. The goal is to bolster public order across the region with the help of experienced personnel while keeping citizens safe. This plan was outlined through the official channel of the Primorsky Territory governor, Oleg Kozhemyako, who recently announced foundational steps for the project.
The message from regional authorities emphasises a shared commitment to maintain established lines of communication and collaboration. The new organization, Tiger-Law and Order, will bring together veterans from the Northern Military District and members of the volunteer Detachment Tiger who have returned from front-line service. This blend of experience aims to create a steady, reliable presence on the streets, contributing to safer neighborhoods and a more secure daily life for residents. Reports describe the initiative as a practical extension of local security efforts, built on proven teamwork and mutual trust among participants, officials, and the community.
According to Kozhemyako, the detachment’s activities will extend beyond traditional policing to include crime prevention, rapid response to disturbances, and stepped-up patrols in coastal cities where tourism and commerce create additional public-safety considerations. The plan envisions a coordinated approach that leverages veterans’ discipline, strategic thinking, and on-ground readiness to keep order, deter wrongdoing, and assist law enforcement when needed. Earlier efforts indicated a broader, joint program that involved more than 200 veterans from special operations engaging in a collaboration with the Defenders of the Fatherland Foundation and Synergy University. This program offers pathways for veterans to transition into civilian roles by providing access to ongoing professional development and career opportunities. The collaboration includes a pathway for psychological rehabilitation, education across diverse curricula, and guidance through the university’s recruiting agency to help veterans secure meaningful employment after their service concludes. Officials described this initiative as a crucial step in supporting veterans’ well-being while also strengthening regional capabilities through skilled, motivated personnel.
The organizational leadership has highlighted that the project, which began in December of the previous year, aligns with a broader strategy to channel veterans’ talents into constructive community service. By providing training and education, the program helps veterans adapt to civilian life while enriching local institutions with experienced personnel who understand discipline, teamwork, and crisis management.
