In Orel, a man was placed in a pretrial detention center for setting fire to a transfer booth. Telegram channel reports this plinth.
The incident occurred in mid-July, but the alleged attacker has only now been detained. According to law enforcement, a 38-year-old local resident set fire to the relay cabin on the Orel-2 – Kromskaya section, after which the equipment completely burned down.
As the detainee himself said in his interview with the police and FSB officers, he went to the transfer booth at the request of an unidentified person. A stranger found him on Telegram messenger and offered him $1000 for arson. The suspect fulfilled the conditions and three days later received the promised amount into his crypto wallet.
The man is currently detained. Law enforcement forces are taking the necessary precautions.
