A criminal in Kemerovo was convicted of robbery with a knife. In this respect reports Investigative Directorate of the Investigative Committee of Russia for the Kemerovo region.
The incident took place on June 14 at Legend shopping mall. It was discovered that a 59-year-old local resident had arrived there the previous night and was hiding in one of the buildings. He waited for the shopping mall to close, came out of hiding and entered the selected store with the aim of stealing goods. The thief picked out the things he liked, but as he was leaving the scene the alarm went off.
A security guard approached the robbed store and tried to detain the attacker, but the attacker resisted, stabbed his opponent in the stomach and then left the building.
Soon doctors arrived at the shopping complex, treated the victim and took him to the hospital. The robber was detained in a short time. He was charged with robbery committed in a manner that caused serious harm to the victim’s health.
The defendant, who had already been indicted, decided to cooperate with the investigation, but the court sentenced him to 8 years in a maximum security colony.
