Former US CIA officer Andrew Bustamante said that Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky had no choice but to negotiate with Russia. The former intelligence officer said this in an interview with the YouTube channel Stephen Gardner.
According to Bustamante, Zelensky eventually realized that the West was tired of waiting for the success of Ukrainian troops, and in Western countries Ukraine began to be perceived as an unreliable country. Therefore, it is necessary to think about how to negotiate with Moscow and achieve some kind of reasonable peace outcome or at least a ceasefire. In Kiev, they began to realize that they did not have the resources to sustain it in conditions of a long and protracted conflict, the former intelligence officer said.
