Representatives of 24 countries in the Asia-Pacific region expressed their desire to participate in the World Youth Festival to be held in Russia in 2024. This was announced by the organizer of the event, the head of the Federal Agency for Youth Affairs (Rosmolodezh), Ksenia Razuvaeva.

Ksenia Razuvaeva emphasized that foreigners made this decision after attending the World Youth Festival presentation at the Eastern Economic Forum (EEF).
During the presentation, forum participants were informed about the concept of the festival program, the opportunities it will provide to young generation representatives, its basic meanings and values.

Participants of the Eastern Economic Forum were also presented with the symbols of the World Youth Festival – the mascot, official song and logo – which embody the core values of WFU 2024.

“We see great interest from young people in the Asia-Pacific region to the World Youth Festival; Representatives of 24 Asia-Pacific countries applied for participation. In some of these countries, national preparatory committees for the festival have already been established, which will further attract and select participants,” said Ksenia Razuvaeva.

According to him, the interest shown shows that there is public demand for the establishment of an international youth dialogue in Asian countries.

“So our country offers a platform to connect young leaders from around the world. “The World Youth Festival will allow participants from different countries to share best practices and give impetus to the development of an international youth movement aimed at building a common future and a fair, multipolar world,” said the head of Rosmolodezh.

To date, applications have been received from citizens from Australia, Fiji, Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Brunei, Vietnam, India, Singapore, Indonesia and other countries.

The World Youth Festival will be held in Russia in 2024. It is planned to include 20 thousand young leaders in the fields of education, science, international cooperation, culture, volunteering and philanthropy, sports, business world and media.

For the first time in the history of the festival movement, young people aged 14 to 17 are invited to participate.
