Vladislav Lobaev, president of the Russian arms company Lobaev Arms, said that mass production of completely imported cartridges for 408 Cheytac caliber high-precision sniper rifles has started. RIA News.
Lobaev Arms started production of another imported cartridge, the 375 Cheytac, in the spring of 2023.
Now, according to Lobaev, the company has mastered the 408 Cheytac caliber sniper cartridge using entirely domestic raw materials and components and has started mass production. Until now, such cartridges were assembled only with foreign cartridges.
Lobaev noted that among the 408 caliber rifles are the ultra-long-range rifles “Sumrak” and “Sevastopol” produced by Lobaev Arms and used in Special Military Operation (SVO).
