According to investigators, Ponomarev, who lives in Ukraine, participated in the holding of the sessions of the “Congress of People’s Deputies” in November last year and in February-June 2023, during which acts violating the territorial integrity of the Russian Federation were adopted. On September 7, the politician was prosecuted under the third part of article 284.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation, he faces a prison sentence of two to six years.
