IC Rosgosstrakh revealed during a survey, the results of which were reviewed by socialbites.ca, that more than a third (38%) of Russians have medical tourism experience.
That is, 19% managed to visit medical centers in Russia, 14% abroad, and 5% everywhere.
In the last three years, 40% of the respondents visited sanatoriums once or twice, 39% visited annually and 15% visited two or three times a year.
The Russians also explained why they visited health centers. The most popular response is for the treatment of chronic diseases (27%). Other common causes: rehabilitation after illness and injury (21%); prevent diseases and strengthen the immune system (19%); detox (15%); for diversity (10%); for relief and recovery (8%).
A third of Russians are ready to spend from 50,000 to 100,000 rubles on recreational holidays in sanatoriums, the other 32% – from 30,000 to 50,000 rubles, and 27% – up to 30,000 rubles. Only 7% are ready to pay more than 100 thousand rubles for such a vacation.
According to Russians, the best health centers are: in the North Caucasus (21%); in Kavminvody (18%); in the Krasnodar Territory (16%); in Crimea (15%); in the Moscow region (7%). 22% of the respondents also believe that the best destinations for medical tourism are abroad.
45% of Russians visiting sanatoriums left the most positive impressions; Participants report that they feel much better. The other 48% could not say anything bad, but did not notice its healing effect. Another 7% had negative impressions, and almost half complain about the attitude of the staff and service, a quarter – the unacceptable value for money, and the same number do not like this form of recreation.
