According to the press service of the “Knowledge” association, Russian President Vladimir Putin held an open lecture “Talk about what matters” for the winners of the “Children’s Mentoring School” competition.
As part of the lecture, the head of state talked with young people in the Senezh training center about nanotechnologies and cinema, urbanization and the spread of science, the role of families and mentors in our lives.
“How we develop what our parents, mentors and teachers have fundamentally created for us is, of course, up to us and our effort. Of course, we should never forget what he did for us. We should treat them the way we want to be treated, that’s an old formula,” said Putin.
Answering the question of one of the female students and continuing the topic of mentoring, the President of Russia drew attention to what the main idea should be shared by the mentor student with their peers.
“I love Russia. But you have to be creative about it. You can look at it from a historical point of view in terms of the tasks facing the country in order to connect everything to our traditions, to our family, to the future of our Motherland. All this together from different angles. It is necessary to present this subject in a beautiful and interesting way so that the eyes of the children will burn. And for your enjoyment,” said the president.
Vladimir Putin also noted the value and relevance of the ideas proposed by the men, talked about what is already being done in each area, and promised to help bring these ideas to life.
The all-Russian “Children’s Mentoring School” competition was aimed at students of general education schools from 10 to 17 years old, and the winners of school competitions, research competitions and active youth competitions of all Russia could prove themselves in this competition. The winners of the all-Russian competition were 40 young residents from 27 regions of Russia.
