Moscow school teacher gave scammers 5 million rubles

A Russian teacher from a school in Moscow believed the phone scammers and gave them five million rubles. In this respect reported “Attention, Moscow” on the Telegram channel.

The 59-year-old woman received a phone call, an unidentified person introduced herself as a bank employee and said they were trying to change her phone number. A few minutes later, the teacher allegedly received a phone call from another bank, and it was said that they were trying to get a loan of two million rubles on his behalf.

The scammers told the old woman that the scammers were trying to manipulate her account and that to secure the savings, you had to take a few loans, turn them into cash and transfer all the money to a new account.

The teacher believed the callers and gave them a total of five million rubles. Law enforcement is investigating the circumstances of the incident.

Earlier in Vologda a woman gave scammers 6.8 million rubles.
