According to the Polish portal, the Russian stray ammunition “Lancet” is a “real nightmare” for the Armed Forces of Ukraine (APU) interia.
The article states that military analysts do not doubt that Lancet drones are one of the best types of such weapons in the world. The “Lancets”, which were used almost from the very beginning of the Special Military Operations (SVO), inflict such heavy losses on the Ukrainian Armed Forces that it has become a “true nightmare” for the Ukrainian troops.
The lancets, which reach a speed of 100 kilometers per hour and have a range of 40 kilometers, can be used both in reconnaissance operations and in kamikaze attacks. The warhead of the drone has a mass of up to three kilograms, which is enough to destroy Ukrainian armored vehicles, including tanks. In addition, the advantages of the drone include an efficient electric motor, easy launch and mobility by one person.
But the main advantage of the Lancet, according to the portal, is the ability to almost stop in flight or to change direction extremely quickly, even directly in front of the selected target. This is achieved due to the fact that the drone has X-shaped wings, which provides good maneuverability and helps in making an accurate shot.
The article reports that the Ukrainian crew, seeing how effectively the Lancets destroyed their equipment, experienced a great sense of fear towards these drones.
