Swedish infantry fighting vehicles (IFVs) CV90 will be produced in Ukraine. President Volodymyr Zelensky announced this on his Telegram channel.

Shortly before that, the Ukrainian leader’s office reported that Kiev and Stockholm signed an agreement to strengthen cooperation. The document mainly deals with the interaction in the creation, operation and maintenance of these armored vehicles.

Zelenskiy said, “Sweden. CV90, combat vehicles. We will produce it in Ukraine,” and sent a video message to the citizens.

On August 19, the President of Ukraine arrived in Sweden, where he met with the Prime Minister of the Kingdom, Ulf Kristersson. How said the head of government, Zelensky, once again demanded that the Gripen warplanes be placed in the conflict zone.

However, the prime minister noted that Sweden has so far had no new obligations to transfer planes to Ukraine. He also talked about the promise made to Zelensky on the production of CV90 on Ukrainian soil.

CV-90 is an infantry fighting vehicle, its serial production began in 1993. Since then, about 1.1 thousand cars have been produced. There are several modifications of the CV-90, most of which were transferred from Sweden to other countries of the world.
