The US Supreme Court blocked lower court restrictions on the popular medical abortion drug mifepristone. It has been reported Reuters.

It was noted that US President Joe Biden gave a speech in support of this decision.

“I will continue to fight political attacks on women’s health,” Biden said.

On April 7, Texas District Judge Matthew Kachsmarik placed preliminary restrictions on the availability of mifepristone. If restrictions are accepted, the mailing and use of the drug for a period of seven to ten weeks will be prohibited, requiring not one but three doctor visits to administer it. The decision was challenged in the Supreme Court by the US Department of Justice and drugmaker Danco Laboratories.

In June 2022, the U.S. Supreme Court overturned the 1973 Roe – Wade decision that legalized abortion in all U.S. states. The initiator of this decision was Judge Samuel Alito.

April 18 Wyoming Governor Mark Gordon signed A bill that prohibits the use or prescription of abortion pills.
