President Andrzej Duda and his wife Agata Kornhauser-Duda will pay an official visit to Mongolia next week. In Ulaanbaatar, the president will speak about the development of economic cooperation and the security situation in the world.
This visit has been planned for a long time. Mongolia, although a geographically distant country, has an important geopolitical location, bordering Russia and China
Marcin Przydacz, head of the Presidential Office of International Policy, pointed out.
President Duda’s interlocutors in Ulaanbaatar will be Mongolian President Uchnaagijn Khurelsuch, Prime Minister Luwsannamsrain Ojun-Erdene and Speaker of Parliament Gombojaw Zandanshatar.
Economic Cooperation
The purpose of the visit is to maintain economic cooperation. For your presidents, opening new markets for Polish entrepreneurs is very important
said Przydacz. He announced that economic intergovernmental agreements would be signed during the visit, as well as a Polish-Mongolian business forum.
The presidential minister pointed out that Mongolia is a good investment location for the Polish mining and engineering industry – both in the agricultural and mining sectors. He also pointed to the possibilities of cooperation within the food sector and in the field of afforestation.
Security
The head of BPM announced that during the visit the topic of security will also be discussed, in the context of the Russian aggression against Ukraine, which has led to a deterioration of the security situation in the world.
He noted that the president “respects the terms of each of his partners in political talks, but the rules of international law should apply to everyone, especially Russia, as a permanent member of the UN Security Council.”
Certainly, President Andrzej Duda will put forward all arguments to support Ukraine, which is fighting to defend itself, while putting as much pressure as possible on the Russian side to stop its senseless aggression.
emphasized Przydacz.
Lecture and opening of the embassy
Duda will also present the Polish position on these issues at a lecture at the university in Ulaanbaatar.
The president will deal with the issue of world order based on the principle of legalism, i.e. action based on international law, and the principle of multilateralism, i.e. the harmonious cooperation of many states in the international system
– added the head of BPM.
An official opening of the Polish Embassy in Ulaanbaatar by the President is also planned.
