Georgia’s parliament has scheduled a meeting on Friday (March 10th), which will pass a bureau with the approval of the voting agenda. It is stated in this message. Online Georgian Parliament.

The announcement says that the parliamentary session will begin at 12:00 local time. At 11:45, there will be a Bureau meeting, which will determine the issues discussed at the meeting.

It was reported that another protest action, previously organized by civic activists and students, was held in the square in front of the parliament in Tbilisi. The protesters made two demands – to formalize the legislative withdrawal of the bill on foreign agents from parliament and to release all protesters detained by the police on 7 and 8 March.

Prior to that, Georgian President Salome Zurabishvili called a review Bills foreign agents as a victory for society. This is stated in the video message.

Zurabishvili urged Georgian authorities to refrain from using force against those protesting the adoption of the bill on foreign agents. At the same time, the speaker of the Georgian parliament, Shalva Papuashvili, criticized the president for his actions during the riots in Tbilisi. The Georgian opposition urged citizens to hold an “information meeting” to discuss future actions instead of the planned rally after the bill was withdrawn.
