According to the press service of the national park, the kitten of the Red Book Far Eastern leopard, which was rescued in the Primorsky Territory last summer, caught the second deer in its life after replacing its milk teeth. “Land of the Leopard”.

In July 2022, an emaciated four-month-old kitten with minor injuries was found by state investigators near the border of the national park. He was captured and taken to the Tiger Center for the rehabilitation of Amur tigers and other rare animals. It was noted that this is the first case of the forced removal of the Far Eastern leopard from the wild at such a young age. By early December, the pup was already almost 17 pounds.

“The rescued kitten of the Far Eastern leopard Leo 260M broke the hunting record at the Rehabilitation Center in Primorye,” the press service of Leopard Country said in a statement.

They noted that the young animal was able to catch the second deer in its life.
