A new 5.6 magnitude earthquake struck Central Turkey. It gives information about DEA News With reference to the Euro-Mediterranean Seismological Center (EMSC).

The earthquake was recorded at 03:13 UTC (6:13 Moscow time).

The epicenter of the tremors was located five kilometers from the Gelbashi area. The hearth lay at a depth of two kilometers.

According to the latest data, as a result of the deadly earthquake that occurred in Turkey, 2379 people died, 14483 people were injured, 7340 people were rescued from the rubble.

“Search and rescue operations continue uninterrupted,” the agency said.

Earlier, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said that the earthquake in the southeast of the country was the strongest since 1939.

Erdogan declared seven days of national mourning in Turkey until February 12 after those who lost their lives as a result of the earthquake.
