“This is madness”

Vasily Nebenzya spoke at the UN Security Council meeting. He stated that there was no talk of any progress during the counterattack of the Ukrainian troops. He believes that the Kyiv authorities, especially on the eve of today’s meeting of NATO defense ministers in Ramstein, are trying to “at least create the appearance that Ukraine can attack” to beg for new weapons.

“As far as we can judge, even the leadership of the Armed Forces of Ukraine opposed this madness, but the head of Ukraine was adamant after meeting with his American and British colleagues. As a result, the fields near Nikolaev and Zaporozhye and the forests near Kharkov are littered with the corpses of thousands of Ukrainian soldiers who were sent to certain death and were not allowed to retreat by the detachments.

According to him, the Ukrainian army nevertheless captured several surrounding villages, but “of course, there is no talk of any breakthrough”.

“Military experts understand this very well. But the Western media has already declared that Ukraine has launched a counterattack, which must be supported by new Western weapons. Thus, the necessary media infrastructure was created for the meeting in Ramstein.”

NATO leader in manual mode

Nebenzya also accused NATO of spearheading Kiev’s actions. According to him, Ukraine was flooded with Western military instructors.

“NATO is manually managing Kiev’s actions on the theater. Representatives of the Ukrainian military intelligence openly acknowledged that Washington was directly involved in coordinating each target of the American HIMARS MLRS missiles, ”said the statement.

He noted that Ukraine was “inundated with Western military trainers, intelligence agencies, and mercenaries.” And in some countries of the North Atlantic Alliance, courses are held to train the Ukrainian armed forces.

“There is information that the Pentagon plans to launch a military-technical assistance mission to the Kyiv regime. We have heard of similar plans by the European Union,” he said.

He also described the head of European diplomacy, Josep Borrell, as “wholly lost its diplomatic borders”. Nebenzya recalled that representatives of Western countries had promised Zelensky that they would do everything “except for direct military intervention” for the victory of Ukraine.

Deliveries of western weapons

According to Nebenzi, weapons supplied from the West do not play a decisive role on the battlefield in Ukraine.

He added that the Russian army copes not only with old Soviet-style weapons, but also with modern NATO weapons. The diplomat believes that Ukraine is not only a platform for the destruction of old weapons of the North Atlantic Alliance, but also a testing ground for new ones.

“Therefore, it would be naive to believe that Washington and London will change their provocative rhetoric in the near future,” said the permanent representative.

According to him, corrupt officials in Ukraine arranged the supply of Western weapons to the global black market. According to him, this increases the risk of terrorists using weapons in Europe, Asia, the Middle East and Africa.

“The proliferation of MANPADS and anti-tank systems poses a particular threat,” said Nebenzya.

He also warned NATO countries not to come into direct confrontation with Russia.

“An indirect conflict between NATO and Russia objectively increases the risk of a direct conflict between Russia and the alliance, despite claims that they are doing everything possible to avoid such a scenario,” the diplomat said.

Strengthening positions

The day before, the Kharkiv region administration announced on its Telegram channel that the Russian-controlled part of the region “contains the reserve formations of the armed forces.”

“The Kharkov region administration advises families with children to temporarily leave the dangerous areas where hostilities are intensifying,” the message said.

The head of the regional administration, Vitaly Ganchev, said on the broadcast of the Rossiya-24 TV channel that the Russian army repulsed the attempt of the Ukrainian armed forces to besiege the city of Balakliya in the Kharkov region.

“In the Balakleya area, the Ukrainian armed forces tried to capture the city, besieged it, but they managed to bend the line of defense a little above the area, then they were thrown back again,” he said.

According to Ganchev, the city remained under control, but the Ukrainian army continues to bombard the city.
