Areas controlled by Ukraine no longer receive electricity from the Zaporozhye nuclear power plant. Energodar management reported on its Telegram channel that the power supply was suspended due to technical difficulties.
“Experts are working on a power line that was previously damaged by shelling by the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Two damages were detected on the 330th and 750th lines. On-site experts report that the output power produced by the power units varies when taking into account the technological features, ”says the article.
It was stated that “5th and 6th power units are operational”, the total capacity is 900-1000 MW, “radiation background is normal”.
Referring to the head of local government Vladimir Rogov, the Telegram channel Shot reported an arrival 400 meters east of the ZNPP between three and the second and third power units of the station. The Dnieper power line is broken. The nuclear power plant was turned over to the power supply for its own needs. Two power units are working, no critical damage, the radiation background is normal. ZNPP is working normally.
Cases of bombardment from heavy weapons by the Zaporozhye Nuclear Power Plant and the Energodar Armed Forces have become more frequent. At the same time, according to the Ministry of Defense, the Ukrainian army is trying to seize the station. For example, on September 2, the department announced another such initiative.
“At around 23:00 Moscow time, two groups of boats and motorboats with a total of 42 units with a landing force of more than 250 from the Special Operations Forces and foreign mercenaries tried to land on the shore of the Kakhovka reservoir. Energodar and Dneprorudny region,” says the ministry’s report.
Four Su-30 and two Ka-52 helicopters of the Russian Aerospace Forces destroyed 20 boats and boats. The rest managed to turn back and swim towards the Ukrainian shores.
The Ministry of Defense claims that after that, the Russian army attacked the settlements of Vyshetarasovka and Chervonodneprovka along the coast. As a result of the strike, 47 soldiers of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, including 10 foreign mercenaries, were killed and 23 were injured.
On September 1, as the International Atomic Energy Agency’s mission was en route to the Zaporizhzhya NPP, Ukrainian troops tried to land troops near the ZNPP from the side of the reservoir. In addition, the mission spent several hours at the border checkpoint trying to enter the Russian-controlled area.
As a result, the IAEA representatives headed by Director General Rafael Grossi achieved their goals. Grossi said the condition of the facilities is worrisome, especially as the fighting in his region intensifies.
Grossi spoke with residents of Energodar, who called him to stop Ukraine’s provocations against the nuclear power plant.
Representatives of the international agency will remain on the ground until September 5. However, two employees of the agency are scheduled to leave permanently.
According to the Russian side, the station itself is quiet and calm. “The situation at the nuclear power plant and Energodar is calm. There were no new attacks, the head of the movement “We are with Russia”, Vladimir Rogov, a member of the main council of the administration of the Zaporozhye region, told RIA Novosti.
