According to ‘El Colombiano’, initial police reports indicated that at least five people were killed in the incident, while the number of injured was not specified. “A dump-type vehicle suffered mechanical failures colliding with several cars on the road. Five people were initially reported dead in the incident,” Medellin Police said in a statement.
The Medellin (Dagrd) Administrative Department of Risk Management, for its part, reported that a fire brigade equipped with “two fast-moving machines and eight units” arrived at the scene of the accident.
