The full coordination of the defense plan for Europe may take several weeks. This was stated by the European Commission Ursula von der Layen President, Ria Novosti.
The EC president said, “We talk a few weeks more than months, because only the approval of the Council of Europe is required for approval,” he said.
Von Der Layen added that he will offer special offers to the next EU summit between 20-21 March.
This plan proposed Von der Layen on March 4. The initiative involves borrowing up to € 150 billion for defense of EU countries. The EC plans to occupy this money in the capital markets and then give it to the states in the form of credit. Funds will be directed to the production of air defense and weapons systems for Ukraine.
