The Israeli military will test 3D imaging technology that allows them to “see beyond walls.” This has been reported algemeiner.
The XLR40 Long Range device was created by Israeli technology company Camero-Tech.
The technology relies on radio wave signals that can penetrate walls and transform what’s behind them into three-dimensional images.
The system, which can operate at a distance of more than 18 meters, creates images using algorithms based on artificial intelligence and signal processing.
With the push of a button, an operator can track the position of moving or stationary people and determine whether an object is an adult, child or animal.
Similar systems can also be used in rescue and police operations to detect intruders or disaster victims.
Camero-Tech CEO Amir Beeri noted that similar systems were used during the search for victims and injured persons in the 2017 earthquake in Mexico and in the rescue operation of the abducted 19-year-old girl.
Camero-Tech devices are not sold to individuals.
Previously reportedThe US Air Force has begun testing a prototype of a “helmet of the future” for aircrew. Developed by LIFT Airborne Technologies.
The main task is to optimize the helmet equipment to reduce the load on the neck and back of the pilots. Particular attention will be paid to the adaptation of helmets for women’s teams.
