Among the advantages of online higher education, respondents highlight the opportunity to study on a flexible schedule (40%), study from anywhere (33%), combine study with work (28%) and pay less (18%). He is studying at a capital university from his hometown (18%). In educational offerings, respondents are interested in learning platforms with AI integration (24%), interactive learning (23%), use of virtual reality (20%) and additional microlearning (19%). However, the Russians also have some concerns about the format; these include difficulties with self-organization (36%), decreased face-to-face communication (27%), and lack of self-control while studying (16%). . The most loyal to online education are Russians aged 18-34. More than a third (34%) have already tried working in this format, and 80% of cases rated their experience as positive. Additionally, 42% believe that higher education received online is no less valuable than that received in a classical format. Respondents over 34 years old are more categorical: only 20% are ready to admit the effectiveness and quality of receiving higher education in online format. However, 27% of them have experience with online learning, and more than half (59%) rate it positively.

According to respondents, the increase in popularity of online higher education may be influenced by factors such as technology development (28%), changes in the labor market (25%), increase in the number of high-quality online educational products (25). %), increase in the number of professions for which you can study online (24%), decrease in the cost of education in online format (21%). On the contrary, the most popular answers to the question of what could slow down the development of this segment were: employers’ lack of trust in online students (35%), resistance of universities when scaling the format.
