The expert recommends returning home a day or two before the end of your vacation to rest after the trip, adjust your daily routine and adjust your sleep patterns. This will reduce your stress levels and help you get into a smooth work rhythm.

“You should also not overload the last days of your vacation with household chores, but distribute them evenly throughout the coming week. It is better to devote time to your favorite activities: walking, meeting with friends, reading a book or watching a movie. Here, the balance and harmony between personal life and career achievements are more important than ever,” he said.

The first thing that everyone faces after returning to work is a huge backlog of tasks and urgent tasks. After all, in the absence of an employee, all responsibilities cannot be transferred to colleagues. It is important to try to complete urgent tasks before the holiday to reduce the load. If they are still there, you should not try to complete them all at once. You need to give yourself time to adapt, avoid overload and chaos.

“Planning and organizing your time, including working time, is a habit that is useful for every person. But after the holiday it is worth paying special attention to this issue: set realistic goals for the near future and distribute them according to the degree of urgency and importance; make a clear schedule of tasks: time to check e-mail, organize documents and communicate with colleagues; provide time for unforeseen situations; check with colleagues what happened during your absence and current project tasks; postpone important meetings for a few days, if possible; create comfortable conditions at the workplace: remove unnecessary objects, adjust the lighting and temperature,” the expert said.

A conscious approach to your situation and workload will help prevent professional burnout and maintain concentration for a long time.

It can be difficult to immerse yourself in work processes after an exciting vacation. To focus and regain the necessary mood, Bausheva recommends using proven time management techniques.

“The Eisenhower Matrix. It allows you to divide tasks into four categories and understand in what order you need to solve them: urgent and important – tackle them first; urgent and unimportant – delegate if possible or perform as a secondary task; non-urgent and important – complete on the same day and plan for other days, taking into account deadlines; non-urgent and unimportant – most likely, they will lose relevance in the process of completing other tasks,” the adviser explained.

A fairly popular technique, the Pomodoro method involves alternating work and rest: work for 25 minutes, then take a 5-minute break.

This will help you gather your thoughts at the right time and avoid unnecessary fatigue.
Regular physical activity. Morning exercises, short walks or warming up during the workday – all these will significantly improve your mood, increase energy and promote focus. You can choose any activity that will help you stay in good shape.
