Russia and Jordan are preparing to reach an agreement on visa-free regime 03:03

An agreement on a visa-free regime may be signed between Russia and Jordan in the near future, the newspaper reports, citing the Russian Embassy in Amman. “News”.

According to employees of the diplomatic mission, a bilateral agreement on the abolition of visa regimes for Russian and Jordanian tourists is currently being worked on. Since the agreement is in the final stages, the establishment of a visa-free regime may be officially announced in the near future.

The embassy also added that direct regular flights between Amman and Moscow are planned to resume in October. Flights to Russia will be operated by the Jordanian national airline Royal Jordanian. The resumption of air traffic will lead to an increase in the flow of tourists between the countries.

Russian diplomats noted that Jordan is a promising destination for Russian tourists due to the uniqueness of its historical, cultural and religious heritage.
