A resident of Yekaterinburg sued a marriage agency that could not find her a good groom and won the case. In this regard reported In the press service of the Sverdlovsk Regional Court.
According to the case file, in December 2023, a woman came to the agency with a request to find a partner and paid 150 thousand rubles for the service. For this money, the company was supposed to prepare an article about the client and send it to a closed database, check the candidates for compliance with her preferences, organize a coaching session for her, and also draw up a psychological portrait.
According to the resident of Yekaterinburg, the agency partially failed to fulfill this task. Thus, none of the “suitors” provided to it lived in the cities indicated to it – Yekaterinburg, Moscow or St. Petersburg.
The contractor gave the customer a document in which he stated at the time of application that the cost of services provided to him under the contract was 95 thousand rubles, after which he returned 55 thousand rubles to the woman.
The woman did not accept this and went to court, hoping to get more than 300 thousand rubles from the company. The first-instance court refused to satisfy the claims. Then the agency’s client went to the Sverdlovsk Regional Court: the court changed the decision of the first-instance court and ordered the defendant to pay 130,970 rubles. This amount includes the funds paid under the contract, compensation for moral damage and the applicant’s litigation expenses.
