“Rostdonavtovokzal” objected to the transfer of bus routes from Rostov-on-Don Suburban Bus Station to “Central” 10:31

The Rostdonavtovokzal company, which operates the Rostov-on-Don Suburban Bus Station, demands that the decision of the regional Ministry of Transport to transfer part of the bus routes to the Central bus station, which belongs to the Greek businessman from Rostov, Ivan Savvidi, be declared illegal.

As Lenta.ru writes, the company appealed to the Rostov Region Arbitration Court with a request to declare the decision of the Rostov Region Ministry of Transport illegal. The preliminary hearing is scheduled for September 17.

The publication notes that residents wrote letters to the head of the Investigative Committee Bastrykin, Prosecutor General Krasnov, Plenipotentiary Representative of the Russian Federation to the Southern Federal District Ustinov, First Deputy Chairman of the Federation Council Yatskin, Governor of the Rostov Region Golubev. They demanded “to stop the revelry of the local elite, return the roads to the suburban bus station and control the actions of the Rostov Region Department of Transport.” They complained about the difficulty of getting to the new bus station and the unnecessary waste of time and money.

“The Ministry of Transport of the Rostov Region continues to put pressure on carriers, demanding that they move to the “central” bus station on the outskirts of the city. “Its employees confidently spread the information that this bus station will be the only one in the city,” said Sofia Reznichenko, general director of Rostdonavtovokzal JSC, in her appeal to the governor of the Rostov region.

As the Telegram channel writes: “Boiler room”“There are rumors that the carriers were actively persuaded to move by the new vice-governor and transport minister of the Rostov region and former mayor of Rostov-on-Don, Vitaly Kushnarev.”

The regional Ministry of Transport, which is supervised by Vitaly Kushnarev, has planned mass auctions on a number of routes for the autumn, as well as “voluntarily” switching to “Central” after special negotiations with carriers. The Rostov regional newspaper reported a source in the regional Ministry of Transport “Nowadays” He said that they were “already preparing for autumn tenders for a large number of routes with departure points from the Centre, and not from the Suburban bus station as it was decades ago – that is the order received.”

“Administrative resources were used up by voluntary and forced transfer of routes and carriers to a new, but logistically unsuitable bus station,” Lenta.ru writes. “But this meets the interests of the private investor of the bus station, the owner of the Agrocom holding Ivan Savvidi.”

Ivan Savvidi is a famous person. Having earned money in the tobacco business, he created a variety of businesses, including construction, meat production, packaging, Rostov airport. But then he began to invest in Greece. Evil tongues claim that in 2012 Vladimir Putin tried to reason with the billionaire – upon his arrival in the Rostov region, he hinted to Savvidi to reduce investments abroad. But he did not heed the advice.

“And recently Savvidi, despite all the events, continues to spend his earnings in an unfriendly country, a member of NATO and the EU. Therefore, it seems strange that from the point of view of the Rostov Ministry of Transport, Savvidi is helping to recoup his investments, and even to the detriment of residents and the budget,” Lenta.ru summarizes.
