Other methods of preventing dementia include taking time off work, starting a healthy lifestyle between the ages of 20 and 30, adopting a healthy diet, and stopping drinking alcohol. Daytime sleep is no less beneficial for the brain. It helps to effectively consolidate new information and restore cognitive reserve.
