The US is unable to increase production of Patriot missiles at factories in Japan due to a shortage of parts manufactured by Boeing. This was reported by Reuters.
“The US hopes to increase production from approximately 500 units to more than 750 units as soon as possible. Expansion of production in Japan is not possible without the supply of new homing heads worldwide every year,” the statement said.
Earlier, Japanese Defense Minister Itsunori Onodera, in Tokyo to accept The US can transfer the Patriot anti-aircraft missile system (SAM) under license only if documentary evidence is given that the technology will not reach any other country, including Ukraine.
