The story of a crazy trucker from Orsk looking for Interpol

Missing girls and first victim

On April 11, 2010, a few kilometers from the village of Kamennoozernoye, Orenburg Region, near the Chuloshnikov Khutor bus stop, passersby found the body of 15-year-old Elvira Muldabekova, who has been on the wanted list for six months. Earlier, on 18 December 2009.

On the day of his disappearance, the teenager was returning home from an art school in the village of Nezhinka. The road to the house is 15 kilometers along the Orenburg-Orsk highway. It would be difficult to cross such a distance on foot, so Elvira rode a horse, as she always did. Before that, she called her mother: she warned she would be home in half an hour. But neither half an hour later nor at night the schoolgirl returned.

In the spring, her remains were found in a pond, and forensics concluded that the girl was raped before her death. The investigation then concluded that the disappearances of women and girls, which have increased in recent years in Orsk and its environs, were not an accident.

Bones and personal belongings of new victims under their feet

After the body of Elvira Muldabekova, new remains were found.

During the inspection of the forest plantation, one of the participants in the search activities took a step and heard something crackling under his feet – he lowered his head and saw human bones.

Thus, it was possible to find the remains of Güzelli Kaltaeva, who left the house in the direction of the minibus in 2011 and did not return. Later, the belongings of Gülsan Baymurzinova, another of the women killed by the maniac, were found. On June 21, 2012 she left the village of Novoorsk for Orsk to work in a car factory she. The crane operator did not return to his little daughter.

After the body of Baimurzinova was found – June 30, 2012 – it became known that another girl had disappeared. In the evening, Olga Zhuravleva left her home in the village of Pobeda to catch a bus at the Chkalov Factory stop and go to her friend. She said at 21.10 that the buses and minibuses were not running, and then she informed her relatives that she was hitchhiking by phone. 20 minutes after that, Olga cut off communication, the number could not be used.

The girl’s bones and skull were found on September 10, 2013 by a road worker in a forest belt near the Orsk-Chelyabinsk highway near the village of Dzhanatalap. Olga’s research led to an investigation to reveal the maniac’s identity.

The murderer is not questioned and there is no reason for arrest

Relatives of Olga Zhuravleva raised the alarm immediately after her disappearance. Police, relatives, volunteers were looking for the girl. At some point, the search yielded results. It turned out that a passerby saw how Olga got into a white car of “unusual shape” shortly before she disappeared. It was not possible to calculate the number of vehicles from the security cameras on the road, but we managed to see the brand.

The SsangYong pass, which the girl entered, was the only copy in the area – the car belonged to 55-year-old truck driver Valery Andreev. He has been described as a good-natured, unsuspecting exemplary family man with a wife and two sons. And there was no evidence against Andreev.

Then investigators asked for bills from his phone. It turned out that the mobile devices of the suspect and Zhuravleva, who was killed by him, were nearby shortly before the girl disappeared.

Valery Andreev was called for interrogation, which turned out to be frivolous – the investigation did not find solid evidence of his guilt, after which the man was released.

By this time, it was known in advance that the maniac took the victims off the road and offered a ride, then raped and killed them. It also turned out that not all victims’ burials were murder sites, meaning the maniac was dealing with the victims elsewhere. It was decided to check Andreev’s personal belongings, his car, work truck and garage, as well as meet with his friends and colleagues.

Blood and bloody knives and fishing rods on the walls of the garage

During the inspection of Andreev’s car, a blanket was found in the trunk, an examination of which showed that it contained traces of the seminal fluid of the car owner and traces of Olga Zhuravleva’s blood. Washed blood stains, hair, skin particles, small items and accessories belonging to other missing persons were also found in the vehicle.

But the most terrible finds awaited the researchers in Andreev’s garage: in addition to bloody hammers, knives and fishing rods, the police noted the uneven plaster of the garage walls. There were lots of stains and blood spatter underneath. According to investigators, it was there that the murderer was dealing with the girls.

A survey of Andreev’s colleagues, in turn, showed that the man hadn’t been socializing lately and had often seen women’s items in his truck: hairpins, lipstick, other clothing items, and condoms. Drivers explained all this simply: he definitely uses the services of prostitutes.

Andreev was called for another interrogation and, according to his wife, “fell off the ground”: he disappeared and stopped communicating.

He last spoke to his wife on July 6, 2012, after which he disappeared and was put on the wanted list. When asked what happened to his wife, the maniac replied, “Let them figure it out,” and hung up.

Now Andreev is a suspect in eight rape and murder cases. The investigation considers the murder of Darya Fadina, Aizhan Urkumbaeva, Ekaterina Morozova, Elena Volkova, Elvira Muldabekova, Guzeli Kaltaeva, Gulsan Baimurzinova and Olga Zhuravleva to be proven, among her crimes. The first murder is dated 2006.

Ten years on the wanted list for particularly dangerous criminals

Andreev has been hiding from law enforcement for ten years and is included in the category of particularly dangerous criminals. In 2020, he was among the ten most dangerous criminals wanted by the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs, and at the end of 2019 Interpol began searching for him. That same year, Andreev was on Interpol’s most wanted list for crimes against women, including murder.

Since 2012, the alleged maniac has been seen in different cities of Russia. Therefore, in 2020 St. Petersburg and Krasnoyarsk, and in 2021 in Odintsovo near Moscow.

At the same time, the investigation does not deny the possible death of Andreev or a radical change in appearance: he can lose or gain a lot of weight, get rid of all the vegetation on his head and face, or grow old. mustache or beard.

For help in the capture of Andreev, the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia offers a reward of 1 million rubles, and the governor of the Orenburg region 500 thousand rubles. In addition to these.

Valery Andreev, a resident of the Orenburg region from 2006 to 2012, raped and killed eight girls and women in the city of Orsk and its environs. The killer turned out to be an exemplary family man, father of two, and a truck driver who broke traffic rules only three times in his 30 years of work. When investigators went after the maniac, they had to let him go due to lack of evidence. Andreev has disappeared, his search has been going on for ten years.
