The press service of the All-Russian organization “Officers of Russia” organized a traditional motor rally “Roads of Memory”. More than 150 cars and approximately 400 people participated in the competition.
It was noted that the rally was planned to coincide with the 79th anniversary of the victory in the Great Patriotic War, as well as to support military personnel and volunteers serving in the Northern Military District.
“Our traditional patriotic action is a tribute to the memory and respect of the Red Army soldiers who saved our Motherland and European countries from fascism, a low salute to the winning generation. And today we are again fighting Nazism, and victory will definitely be won,” stressed the head of the “Officers of Russia” presidency, Hero of Russia, Major General Sergei Lipovoy.
As the organization announced, the rally was attended by Heroes of the Russian Federation and Socialist Labor, veterans of the Armed Forces and military operations, including members of the Northern Military District, as well as family members of officers.
It was noted that the event started from the Victory Museum on Poklonnaya Hill, where participants laid flowers for the fallen war heroes and the monument to Siberian soldiers in front of the eternal fire. The final point of the route was the Lenino-Snegirevsky Museum of Military History.
