A fire broke out in an apartment near Kaliningrad due to a vase on the windowsill. Life reports this with reference to the Telegram channel Shot.
According to the Telegram channel, the incident took place in the city of Pionersky. The owners of the apartment on the fourth floor of one of the houses left a large vase on the windowsill, unaware of the danger it posed.
On May 5, it was reported that the sun’s rays hit the area where the vase was located and passed through the household item as if through a lens. The resulting beam heated the surface and a fire broke out in the house.
Emergency services managed to extinguish the fire in time, but the apartment nearly burned to the ground. 10 people, including children, were evacuated from neighboring houses.
No one was injured as a result of the incident. Other details and circumstances of the incident are not specified at this time.
