Iberdrola and RFEF inaugurate the first Sustainable Football City in Madrid

The agreement signed between Iberdrola and RFEF made it possible to establish a self-consumption system consisting of: 110 photovoltaic solar panels to light matches on roofs and eaves of different football teams with renewable energy. The production of this facility is equivalent to the annual consumption of 30 households and will prevent 22 tCO2 emissions per year.

Same way, The facilities are equipped with 20 charging points for electric vehicles to promote sustainable mobility among athletes and fans. Every electric vehicle user visiting the facilities will be able to benefit from these charging points with the guarantee of using 100% green energy from clean production sources.
