Scientists found that eggs do not increase cholesterol levels 22:46

Eating eggs does not raise blood cholesterol levels, so people at high cardiovascular risk do not need to give up eggs. This was reported by American College of Cardiology (ACC).

The trial included 140 patients with or at high risk of cardiovascular diseases (due to obesity, diabetes or high cholesterol). Some ate 12 or more eggs a week, while others ate less than two eggs a week. The method of egg preparation was not limited. The average age of the patients was 66 years.

Cholesterol did not increase in patients who ate eggs, but it also decreased slightly. Scientists believe that people should not stop eating eggs due to fear of cholesterol. This product is an inexpensive source of protein. Eating eggs may have previously been associated with increased cholesterol because they are often combined with butter and bacon. The authors recommended discussing dietary changes with your doctor.
