Rescuers noted that at the back of the wooden house there is a gallery – a transition to the main building of the museum complex. This is how the fire “entered the main brick building”.
“The main building of the museum and its exhibits have managed to be defended. As a result, the walls and some exhibits in the museum’s brick building were smoked. In addition, due to the design features of the building, it became necessary to use special equipment to remove smoke from the damaged building, which made it possible to reduce the impact of adverse fire factors on the exhibits, ”said the author. The ministry reported that the cause of the fire was determined and there were no casualties or evacuation.

Museum-hut Tereshkova

The real parental home of the first female cosmonaut was in the village of Bolshoe Maslennikovo, one and a half kilometers from Nikulsky, but it was not preserved. And the newly built village house is modeled on the house of Tereshkova’s mother, which has survived to this day, where the cosmonaut family and the State Duma deputy lived during the war years. Reserve workers collected objects for the interior of the museum in the surrounding villages.
The exhibition itself is located in a separate building, the museum is the cultural center of the village.
