Russians find it difficult to give up their usual Apple devices due to unfamiliar on-screen controls (16%), complex application menu logic (14%) and a feeling of embarrassment for a phone from another manufacturer. According to the CDEK.Shopping survey, Russians most trust models from Chinese (43%), Korean (35%) and American (12%) manufacturers. socialbites.ca got acquainted with the results of the study.
One in five Russians (20%) are considering replacing Apple devices with products from other brands. Almost one in two people (43%) trust Chinese manufacturers the most. A third (35%) of respondents choose equipment from South Korea, for example, Samsung or LG. The other 12% prefer US brands (12%) and 3% prefer Japanese brands such as Sony.
Since finding a replacement is a difficult task, the Russians have set various criteria for themselves. The most important thing is the presence of unique and useful functions that are not found in other devices (20%), for example, the quality of shooting and the absence of pre-installed programs. Another 17% of respondents believe that all basic and necessary applications should be free, and 14% look at the cost of the device.
There were some difficulties when switching to a new operating system and a completely unfamiliar interface. One in six (16%) have had to relearn how to use a screen. 14% were confused about the logic of the menu, and the same number (14%) were confused about the operating system. Only 2% of Russians admitted that the main obstacle was the feeling of shame and embarrassment of having such a device and the fact that they would have to show it off on the computer.
