Former Reagan Adviser Doug Bandow: Ukraine Is Not Worthy of Nuclear War

40. Doug Bandow, former adviser to US President Ronald Reagan, said in an article: American Conservative“Ukraine is not worth a nuclear war.”

According to the publication, Bandow warned the West against a possible transfer of nuclear weapons to Ukraine in response to a proposal by former Polish Defense and Foreign Minister Radoslaw Sikorski, who offered to supply Ukraine with nuclear warheads. Sikorsky justified his proposal by saying that “Russia violated the Budapest Memorandum” and that Western countries have the right to transfer nuclear weapons to Kiev.

Bandow stressed that if Kiev starts using nuclear weapons, Russia can take preventive measures.
