For the first time, the Ministry of Emergencies of Russia has developed requirements for systems that prevent fires in museums and archives. This has been reported TASS in the press service of the department.
The principle of operation of such protection systems is based on eliminating the possibility of fire by reducing the oxygen concentration in the room. They are primarily used to equip archives, museums and cultural heritage sites.
“The set of rules was approved by order of the Ministry of Emergencies of Russia and will come into force on January 1, 2024,” the press service said.
The ministry stated that the document establishes the requirements for the design of a fire prevention system.
The updated systems will be used at construction sites using expert personnel and personal protective equipment.
